Cover artwork(s)

I'll write later more about the background of this album in length, and how it connects with the front cover - it might not be that obvious, but there is a certain connection. You might guess some of it, but not all of it. Anyway, now is not the time to write in length, I'll do that only later in forthcoming months - for now I'll concentrate into spilling the coverart work here.

Personally I think I like the front cover artwork of 'Morbid entropic spaces' more than I've liked any of the previous releases' front covers. Don't get me wrong, I do like those too - sure, I've done em myself ... but this time the connection with music and the certain kind of theme going on with the album and how it connects with front cover makes it special for me personally. And intentionally the cover artwork is not based on real pictures but it's more like a painting.

Visual full album stream under work

I started working on visual full album stream, with lyrics included / synced, too. It means a lot of work of course, especially considering the amount of lyrics (a lot) and syncing them, and ... so on. I've also crafted kind of humorous (some might say it's black or should I say entropic humor) "advertisement clips" here and there between the songs as an extra effect, and some tune or two might have some extra graphic elements to it. But overall, it's rather simple full album stream. Much less effects and stuff, compared to the videos I usually do.

Considering it's only 5 days to the release date (26th May), this full album stream might appear just some days prior to actual release, into Youtube. But that's just fine. If all goes well, there is possibility that it might appear there within a day (or two) already. I'll let you know when it happens.

Tracklist & song lengths

As I'm soon off for a trip to other end of this country (funeral trip) I'll reveal the tracklisting and song lengths now. It's only 6 songs like said, but 3 of the songs are longer ones while 2 of them are shorties (in doom metal category anyway) and 1 tune (that music video songy) is average length. 

As you can see, it's almost 49 minutes overall. Personally I like how it flows, musically speaking, and there's certain theme to it all - death - and there are some real life connections as well, more than one. Two big ones. But I'll write more about this sometimes after the release is out there.

Music video under work

Yesterday I recorded some relaxed / loose playthgrough videos in our backyard, both with guitars and bass. Thought to craft a music video of some kind for one of the songs. The is going to be the 2nd cut on the album; Fractured cosmic web. 

I recorded the playthroughs with one take only. It was quite a hot day yesterday, very sunny, unusually warm weather for this time of year, around May day / workers' day. But the shooting didn't take long, as it was all done with one take. I spent more time fetching instruments from downstairs to upstairs and heading into backyard, selecting places to shoot the clips - than the actual recording of the clips.

Anyway, I'm working on the video - it's at the same time kind of playthrough video, and it's also lyric video as I'm smashing the lyrics into it, too. Some space video clips mixed in, and some graphic effects, nothing really complicated. I think it's turning out nicely, but we'll see. Zero budget promo video thingy, true DIY style - of course.

The video might appear into youtube in next day or two if all goes well.

PS: Oh, and I got confirmation from CDbaby, the album has passed the examination stuff etc and so it will find its' way into all kinds of streaming media services on the release date for sure. 26th May, that is.
